Cosmetic Surgery Holidays

by DoctorKate

There’s nothing scarier than the thought of cosmetic surgery holidays.  First of all, undergoing a serious operation, in a foreign country surrounded by foreign doctors and nurses thousands of miles from home.  However, for thousands of people every year, this is their best option in particular when it comes to the matter of cost.

Cosmetic surgery holidays are sold and promoted as the exotic and luxurious way to undergo cosmetic surgery without the incredibly high fees associated with the type of treatment. For their customers taking up and booking one of the numbers of cosmetic surgery holidays, it is a much sought after solution to their requirements, combining their surgery needs with a nice and relaxing holiday in the sun without the extortionate fees associated with cosmetic surgery treatments in the UK.

For those who have conducted their research and decided that a cosmetic surgery holiday is the way forward for them then the next thing is to decide on the holiday and treatment destination.  There are a huge number of cosmetic surgery destinations available from Prague to Thailand all offering a huge range of treatments coupled with a relaxing holiday in the sun to follow, ensuring a relaxing rehab and recuperation period.

There have been lots of great success stories of both men and women travelling abroad to achieve their perfect body by perfecting what they believe to be their imperfections with a number of correctional cosmetic treatments.  However, be warned there are also lots of horror stories out there of cosmetic surgery disasters and treatments gone wrong.  Unfortunately, not all companies advertising cosmetic surgery holidays are reputable or at the very least properly qualified which can in turn lead to catastrophic results.

Since the launch of this new trend of cosmetic surgery holidays there has been a torrent of awful stories with regards to surgery gone wrong.  From botched boob jobs to bad liposuction customers are left heart broken and in pain and worst of all thousands of miles from home.

UK cosmetic surgeons have seen a huge increase in customers who have suffered at the hands of foreign surgeons promoting cosmetic surgery holidays.  Unfortunately, for many poor victims the damage is done and in most cases irreparable leaving the customer scarred for life both physically and mentally.  For many the money they have paid is also non refundable, with a majority of companies denying the surgery ever took place or dismissing any accountability for the trauma and injuries caused to the unsuspecting victim.

These cases have reinforced the fact that anyone wishing to go ahead with surgery should research all possibilities fully and only decide upon a clinic when fully convinced of their surgeon’s reputation and level of work.  Decisions on a cosmetic surgery should not be made purely on financial matters and status alone as this can only lead to miss information and in most cases a negative result.

For those still wishing to undertake one of the many cosmetic surgery holidays, you must conduct your research thoroughly and remember that the cheaper option is not always the best or safest choice for you and your body.
